Життєвий шлях та досягнення фундатора сучасного українознавства Петра Кононенка

Актуальність. Аналізуючи вагомий внесок П. Кононенка у формування практичних і теоретичних засад модерного українознавства, намагаємося осягнути, яким чином українознавство як інтегративна наука (комплексна система наукових знань) про Україну, українців і світове українство у просторі та часі має можливість реально протидіяти російській агресивній політиці щодо України, зокрема «русскому миру», актуалізувати національно-патріотичне виховання українських громадян, сприяти поступальному розвитку сучасного українського суспільства, творенню української політичної нації та розбудові Української Самостійної Соборної Держави.
Мета дослідження – осмислення становлення особистості П. Кононенка, створення ним модерної міждисциплінарної науки, навчальної дисципліни та заснування науково-дослідної інституції – Інституту українознавства.
Висновки. Охарактеризовано стан досліджуваної проблематики та джерельної бази дослідження; проаналізовано головні етапи життя й науково-освітянської діяльності П. Кононенка; лаконічно окреслено розвиток українознавства у ХХ ст.; розкрито перипетії формування модерного українознавства, становлення й функціонування українознавчої інституції та важливу роль у цих процесах П. Кононенка; показано вагомий потенціал інтегративного українознавства у протидії «русскому миру» й посиленні національно-патріотичного виховання українських громадян. Виявлено, що життєвий шлях, визначні здобутки П. Кононенка в освітній, науковій, мистецькій, організаційній та просвітницькій сферах є важливою частиною національно-патріотичного виховання громадян Української держави, тому під час повномасштабної російської агресії проблематика осягнення особистості фундатора сучасного українознавства й засновника НДІУ потребує подальшого комплексного й всебічного опрацювання.
